About Us

Two generations of Portuguese tradition

Barcelos Bakery is a locally owned Portuguese bakery in Fall River, owned and operated by Antonio and Sara Rodrigues. They carried their culture and traditions from Portugal right to your neighborhood, and bought the bakery in 2004.

Antonio is the cook and baker. Sara and her daughters run the newly expanded café area, which doubled the seating so regulars and newcomers have room to sit back and enjoy a pastry, a coffee, an espresso or one of the classic European sandwiches.

You might forget you're on American soil: tin ceilings, brick walls, a cozy fireplace and the smell of fresh bread. Free Wi-Fi and comfortable seating, so feel free to stay a while.

Start your day with fresh espresso

Our espresso is made from coffee beans imported from Portugal. Go big with a double espresso or a red eye, keep it tame with a café latte or cappuccino, or choose Portuguese juices and sodas and several hot tea blends.

Skip the traditional coffee and get the capacino. It's possible to decide what to order from the 3 display cases of baked goods. So far I've not been disappointed.Ron Noto-Moniz
